This is a history book that has genealogy, or you might say it's a genealogy book that stresses history. Either way you choose to look at it, this book is an education for anyone whose ancestry is Scots-Irish who came to American before the American Revolution. The Ewings of Gwinnett are typical of such families who struggled through history as far back as the 1200s and all the way through the early events of America until today. This work is strongly sourced, with extra emphasis on original primary source documents and highly respected experts in their field of research. As a work of genealogy, it is unique in the diligence in not only providing the best characterization of the truth, but in providing the sources that prove it, leaving only the true gaps in knowledge remaining.

Genealogy should not be a set of boring names, dates, relationships, facts, and figures. It should be a story, a story of how a family got from one place and time to another. And that story should be full of history and lessons and humor and struggle and sadness and victory and everything that makes us who we are. After all, it's about us.

Stewart Ewing is a Genealogist and Historian specializing in Colonial America and the migration of Scots from their homeland to Ulster and to America from Medieval Scotland to the earliest days of the American Colonies. These people influence every part of American history.

Stewart has a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University, a Computer Science Degree, and a Minor in History. His education is not representative of his passion as he is an avid genealogist and historical researcher based in his home in the area of Atlanta Georgia. He's a member of the Cecil County Historical Society, Snellville Historical Society, Historical Society of Gwinnett, and the Coleraine Historical Society. He has contacts and working relationships with authoritative historians, researchers, and even some famous authors throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.  [Click here or book for link to purchase]
